2007 Gary Fisher Wahoo

When my old SuperCaliber frame needed replaced, I ran into an issue:  Gary Fisher no longer made frames with the original Genesis Geometry that I had been riding for years.

I ended up lucking out when I found a new-old-stock ’07 Wahoo at my local bike shop in spring of ’09.  The parts were all lower-end, but the frame was basically identical to the SuperCaliber, aside from a more sloping top tube.  I bought the complete bike, swapped all the parts from my old bike to it, then either sold the OEM parts, or used them when I built up the Mamba.

The Wahoo has gone through a few changes, mostly a swap from a rigid fork to one with travel, various tires, and a couple saddles.  It’s now a low-cost sub-21lb race-worthy hard tail with the same ride characteristics of my old SuperCaliber.
